October 2007 I know I keep saying that each month that passes has been busy but it is true. But it keeps me out of mischief!! I was in the studio in the middle of the month having so much fun. I can't wait to share my new material with you. Maybe next year ... I played at a most glamourous function for Absolut Vodka called Absolut Essence as part of the Cultivaria Festival. If you see this exhibition advertised anywhere, go & see it. It is fascinating. Then it was into the Heritage weekend. It was pouring with rain when we went out to Hermanus to the Whale Festival. The audience was a little thin but we had a good time. Thank to the organisers for inviting us. The rain stopped as we raced backed to the V & A Waterfront to join The African Renaissance Festival at the V & A Waterfront Amphitheatre. It turned into a gorgeous warm spring evening. Great show, great festival. Thank you MHG for having us again. In October, I am shooting a movie! I have been asked by the students at AFDA school to be part of one of their projects. I can't wait. I even have to learn some lines! Later this month The Moreira Project is off to Maputo for two days to celebrate with STV their 10th anniversary. I haven't played in Maputo for months now and am looking forward to seeing friends and family and the concert on Friday 26th at Cine Africa. As we approach the last three months of this year and the manic season approaches, don't forget to take time out and listen to music - especially South African Music. Keep an eye on the gig guide as we are posting information all the time. Also join me as a friend on myspace.com/themoreiraproject. Keep in touch. I love hearing from you.
