MOREIRA CHONGUIÇA JOINS ALL STAR LINE UP AT INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY GLOBAL CONCERT IN TANGIER, MOROCCO
On April 30, In a global celebration spanning over 190 countries, the 2024 International Jazz Day will be anchored in Tangier, Morocco. Culminating in an electrifying All-Star Global Concert at the Palace of Arts and Culture of Tangier, led by Herbie Hancock and Musical Director John Beasley, audiences worldwide will be treated to performances by an illustrious lineup including master Gnawa musician Abdellah El Gourd and Mozambique’s own Moreira Chonguiça. With Tangier’s history as a melting pot of cultural expressions and its renowned influence on jazz, this celebration underscores the universal power of music to promote peace, dialogue, and respect for human dignity.
